from Pilgrim e news December 4 2010

Jackie Falk is preaching December 5--her text is Matthew 1:1-17. Ever wonder why Matthew begins with the long list of Jesus' ancestors? In Matthew's gospel, Joseph takes center stage as Jesus' earthly parent. Jackie is a member of Pilgrim and student at United Theological Seminary in the Twin Cities.

Following worship, we'll be gathering downstairs for a traditional winter lunch of tomato soup and toasted cheese sandwiches--and the opportunity to make wreaths, evergreen swags, Christmas ornaments, wrapping paper, and other such preparations for the Christmas season.

Children and youth are beginning their preparations for worship on December 19th. Parents: Please note that Sunday school classes will be in session until 11:30 both this Sunday and next. Enjoy a cup of coffee and time to take a breath while waiting to pick up your kids!
